Is anyone still managing port-security in there company? Is anyone still adding to it? Before this looks like something I came up with, I did not. All source code was created by John McGovern and can be checked out on his GitHub at: https://lnkd.in/gS8q-3j2 John is also a phenomenal instructor and offers content on his YouTube and over at CBT Nuggets. So thank you John for the heavy lifting on this and your contribution to the automation community. I did adjust some minor pieces to fit my particular use case. 🙂 Here is one way we can automate the configuration of setting up port-security or any other repetitive, time-consuming task over technically an infinite amount of interfaces. This is great in a lab environment for tinkering around. I would recommend including some robustness in the conditional logic to suit your production needs. What is not shown in this post is the host vars, ansible playbook, and the extra templating which I broke up into two parts to systematically configure each step.
